Lady Gaga broke the Internet when she debuted the Jonas Åkerlund-directed music video for her third surprise single “John Wayne”. Gaga previously performed the song during the Victoria’s Secret fashion show. The video, which has a wild Western theme, turned quickly into a fan favorite and is filled with a handful of insane looks.
Stylist Kristtian Chévere gathered emerging designers for this project. Sarah Nicole Tanno did her makeup while Frederic Aspiras was in charge for the hair.

Just like the other videos of the “Joanne” era, this music video picks off where the “Million Reasons” video ended.
We remember, Gaga wears a pink tailored suit that was custom-made for her in London by Alexander Lewis. The shoulders and back were hand-embroidered in homage to Johnny Carson, who’s Western shirts inspired the pattern.

Unlike in the ‘Million Reasons’ video, Gaga exchanged her Harvy Santos hat for the Lady Bianca custom pink felt hat by Gladys Tamez Millinery.

She’s wearing the Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps in pink patent leather.

In the next scene we can see Gaga riding wildly on the back of a cowboy’s horse.
She’s sporting a custom full-sleeved denim bodysuit with snap button front and leather waist belt by Michael Velasquez, who’s part of the tailoring team.

The studded red leather Daisy Duke boots are by The Frye Company. These feature a contrast black sole. Unfortunately they’re not available anymore.

Next up, we got the singer standing on the side of a road in a custom black leather asymmetric cut-out catsuit by Christian Cowan. He was kind enough to send me an exclusive sketch to me.
It’s based on the catsuit from his newest collection which was worn by the ANTM cast! She wore a crystal embellished thong underneath.

The Gladys Tamez Millinery Bianca makes another return, this time in black felt!

The black boots, which she’s rocking for several looks in the video, are the Aldo Antella over-the-knee boots.

For the first dance sequence, Gaga rocks the same black Aldo boots and a custom piece made by a talented young designer - Wesley Berryman. This red fringed hand-laced lambskin jacket wasn’t the only thing he designed for her.
The top underneath is the Ice bra by UNIF. The triangle halter bra is entirely made from rhinestones.
Gaga’s distressed denim shorts were custom-made by Bryan Hearns.

Her ‘GAGA’ choker is a custom version of Italian label GCDS’ logo crystal choker. The team was kind enough to provide an exclusive photo of it just for us!

Driving around without any limits, Gaga wears the aforementioned Alexander Lewis paired with a cropped white rib tank top and Lauren Klassen’s silver Broken Scissor single earring!

The further we go into the video, the more colorful and crazier it gets. My favorite look got to be this custom masterpiece created by Alex Noble, who’s known for another fringe look worn in Gaga’s “Judas” video.
Made from bleached denim, the Denim Geisha boasts several layered capes which are all trimmed with pink fringes. The end of the sleeves were replaced with voluminious pink silk triangle balloon cuffs and long ribbons.
Noble says that he was inspired by Dolly Parton, Elvis, a Sci-Fi Space Cowboy and Gaga herself.

The interesting pair of boots are from Chloe Gosselin’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection. The Dianthus calf-high red suede boots feature an asymmetrical zipper.

For this scene, Gaga is sitting on the hood of the car while sporting a bustier entirely made from moulded vintage leather belts by Bryan Hearns.
Her custom crystal-embellished and fringe-trimmed black denim crop jacket and shorts are both by young designer Wesley Berryman.

The thigh-high (bullet-shooting) red latex platform boots are Pleaser’s Infinity 4000 boots.

For the final dance sequence, the singer is sporting a red tattoo print corset and matching corset shorts custom-made for her by Ricky King.
The corset, which can be used as a girdle as well, is made from old leather boots, which are laid flat and hand-painted all over again.
Gaga wore black Western boots and a black large faux fur stole with her name in white, custom-made by Nicolas Wirth. Her dancers are wearing custom jackets by L.A. Roxx.

One of Brandon’s assistants made me notice a quite large star ring on her right hand. She’s wearing six rings by Cody Sanderson, one of them being the large star-shaped one seen above. One of her rings is also by The Great Frog.

Finally, we have Lady Gaga who apparently changed outfits while dying from a car crash. The singer rocks a black patent crocodile pattern embossed leather jacket with high neck, asymmetrical zipper and 3D-printed fibre sleeves from Alex Ulichny’s “Breed” collection.

Her black DL0233 metal aviator shades are from Diesel’s upcoming eyewear collection. The Aldo Antella boots make a return.
